To a creative and abundant 2008!

October 10th - Apologies
Apologies to friends and visitors to the website who drop by to keep an eye on what I'm doing artistically for the lack of activity this year. Over the winter months, I will be redeisgning the website and spending a great deal more time in my studio and outdoors producing new work. I went to the life drawing group at the RCA this week for the first time in ... (gosh) over a year, and had a brilliant time.

April 4th - May 1st, Linocut and etching exhibition at The Alpine Cafe, Betws-y-coed - at the same time as viewing the current exhibition why not enjoy an excellent cup of coffee (try and resist the cakes!) or a meal at one of Betws' most popular destinations.

April 1st - New Bryniau Cambria print on view in Gallery 1

January 4th -

Diary of an artist

An insight into the creation of some of the prints and paintings, from initial on-site sketches to finished work.

2008 is the year of the frog and this year AArk will lead zoos, botanical gardens and aquariums in a globally coordinated public awareness campaign "The Year of the Frog."

My love and passion for these creatures has lead to a series of linocuts and as it's now the year of the frog, in 2008, I pledge to donate 10% of the total of all linocuts in the frog series to the AArk charity (see the Aark website for further info on how you can donate).

small photograph of ann lewis

Artist/Printmaker Ann Lewis' work proves that although considered by many as one of the simplest forms of printmaking, linocutting should never underestimated as a challenging and exciting medium capable of producing a wide variety of results. Her paintings and drawings are almost without exception inspired by the North Wales landscape.

Ann's work can currently be seen at Tegfryn Gallery, Menai Bridge, Anglesey and at The Royal Cambrian Academy (print portfolio), Conwy, North Wales
