Wrth fynd heibio Llynnau Mymbyr I - The 'second' of the pair of Llynnau Mymbyr linocuts uses a much lighter palette and the resulting mood is very different from its partner. The pale, sage green suggests areas of the landscape being caught in sunlight. As such, I felt the the sky needed to be much brighter, hence using four colours for this print, rather than three. The additional colour was made possible by using a paper mask. Any slight overlaps of the paler tones are purposely concealed by extremely careful and concentrated cutting of the final black layer.
