Nant Peris - this print is unusual for me in that it isn't derived from a specific place which I know. The initial inspiration was a Kyffin Williams watercolour of Nant Peris but rather than go to the spot (if I could find the exact location) and draw it as I see it, I let Kyffin's original work act as my guide. Where his washes are ambigious, I use my imagination and knowledge of other waterfalls to "fill the gaps".

As with Y Garn, the outline of the mountain in the background is allowed to recede by using less detail and very little deliniation of shapes.
