Cwm Idwal - o'r A5 (Cwm Idwal - from the A5) - Once more Cwm Idwal draws me back, this time seen from the A5 which runs through the Ogwen Valley, via Capel Curig to Betws-y-coed.

The view is ever-changing, with the Devil's Kitchen (seen in the middle of the print) sometimes sharply defined by sunlight, other times shrouded in mist.

An interesting alternative route up the valley (on foot or in a car) follows the old roman road. This runs parallel with the A5 on the other side of the valley. It's a single-track road with cattle grids and an interesting 'drop' to the left hand side at one point, not for faint-hearted drivers.
