Narcissi - these delicate narcissi were almost hidden in the undergrowth, visible only because of their pale petals. The flowers have almost a 'propellor-like' character and the twisted petals create infinite interesting shapes and patterns.

Initially the flowers were going to sit on a plain background, however this appeared very stark and uncharacteristic of their location. The linear leaf pattern adds vertical movement to the composition as well as providing a contrast with the flowing curved lines of the flowers.
