Pale aquilegia - Aquilegias of all
colours are left to do their own thing in my garden and whilst most
of them have naturalised back to their orignal hues of pink, purple
and blue, a few strays still pop up every now and then. I love the
shapes of the flowers and this print is quite unashamedly, simply
about the flower's form. The rather 'aquatic' background design
evolved in complete contrast, both in colour and marks, to the pale,
delicate flower. The overall image reminds me of a victorian tile
and it would be interesting to see how it looks as a repeat pattern.
